We Treat All Types of Dental Emergencies

We are fully equipped to handle any dental issue that is causing you pain, discomfort, or concern. Common issues we see include:

  • Severe or persistent toothache
  • Chipped, cracked, or broken teeth
  • Knocked-out teeth
  • Swelling or dental abscesses
  • Lost fillings or crowns
  • Gum or jaw pain / trauma

Even if you’re unsure whether your situation counts as an “emergency,” call us. We can advise you immediately and, if needed, arrange a same-day appointment.

What to Do in a Dental Emergency

Here’s what you can do to protect your smile while making your way to our clinic:

01

Toothache or Infection

Rinse your mouth with warm salt water. Avoid placing aspirin directly on the tooth or gums (this can cause chemical burns). Call us as soon as possible.

02

Knocked-Out Tooth

Hold the tooth by the crown (not the root). Rinse it gently in milk or saline, and if possible, place it back in the socket. Otherwise, store it in milk and see us immediately — every minute counts.

03

Broken or Chipped Tooth

Save any pieces if you can. Rinse your mouth with warm water and apply a cold compress to the outside of your cheek to reduce swelling.

04

Swelling or Abscess

Never ignore sudden swelling in the mouth or face — it may indicate a spreading infection. Call us right away so we can assess and relieve pressure safely.

01

Call Us Right Away

Our front desk will triage your situation and offer the soonest available appointment — often same-day.

02

Pain Relief & Assessment

We’ll identify the source of pain using advanced, low-radiation diagnostics.

03

Immediate Care

We treat the problem on the spot where possible to relieve discomfort fast.

04

Follow-Up Plan

If further treatment is needed, we’ll explain your options clearly with transparent costs.

Our Emergency Appointment Process

We make urgent dental care straightforward. Our focus is on getting you out of pain first — then helping you fully recover your smile.

Fair & Transparent

Emergency Dental Fees

We keep emergency visits fair and transparent. If you have a health fund, you can claim on the spot via HICAPS.

Emergency Consultation & X-Ray

from $120

Same-Day Treatment

Quoted clearly before any work begins (e.g. filling, extraction, dressing)

We never proceed without explaining your options — no surprises, no hidden fees.

After-Hours Dental Emergencies

If you experience severe pain or trauma outside business hours, leave us a voicemail or message online. We’ll contact you as soon as we open and do everything possible to get you in quickly.

If the situation is urgent (heavy bleeding, facial swelling, or severe trauma), please visit your nearest hospital emergency department immediately.

Preventing Future Emergencies

Most dental emergencies can be prevented with regular check-ups and maintenance.

Our New Patient Packages and Children’s Dentistry services are designed to keep your whole family’s oral health on track — and avoid unexpected pain down the road.

Your Comfort, Our Priority

No matter how painful or stressful your situation feels right now, we’re here to help you through it calmly and professionally. At Adelaide Dental Spa, we combine emergency efficiency with spa-like care — so even your worst dental day ends feeling better than expected.
